Jessica's role in Program Evaluation: I had the role of group leader for program evaluation. I facilitated our phone conferences, assigning tasks, and responding  to emails along with my group members. I also provided two survey responses and provided my group with areas of improvement for our program design. All group members contributed to reflections on the survey as well as comments regarding any future improvements.

Kristin's role in Program Evaluation: I was a group member for this part of the project. I developed the survey instrument and distributed it to the group members, who then provided it to our evaluators. I provided survey responses from two colleagues to my group and responded to all of the evaluations. When we had received all of the evaluations and responded, I gathered and formatted the materials into the final draft and created the table. After review and proofing by the other group members, I posted our program evaluation to the blog.

Marlena's role in Program Evaluation: For my part of this assignment, I was tasked with evaluating responses and helping with whatever else was asked of me. I did not have as much participation nor work as the other group members and feel they did a phenomenal job with their parts. I enjoyed being a part of helping everything come together.

  1. Hi,

I liked how you set up your paper with each of you giving your reflections. I went and read the evaluations first so that I better understood your reflections. This is such a cool idea. I am really enjoying watching it progress!

  2. Hi all,

It looks like your efforts soliciting evaluations yielded very useful actionable data, good ideas for improvement. It also looks like you all were able to recognize which suggestions would truly benefit the course, and which could be disregarded. That's a useful learning experience too!

I like your blog and project overall!

  3. Hello Group 5,

I really enjoyed reading your program evaluations because they were very to the point and well laid out. It was nice you were able to get more than two different professionals to review your program. It enables you to have more opinions and suggestions to make your program better. From what I can tell, they have suggested little tweaks here and there so that means you guys have really come up with a great program! Each students' response to the evaluations was great. I believe that each of you are paying close attention and will apply these suggestions to make this program near perfect. Thanks!

  5. The evaluators gave your group valuable feedback on your program. It is important to have a variety of responses on how you could incorporate other ideas for your program. I especially like the idea to add a blog as this will bring the use of technology into your design. Sometimes feedback you get from evaluators can be vague. However the evaluators that responded gave you usable feedback to make your program stronger.

  7. Jessica, Kristin, and Marlena,

It is a well-organized paper! I can see that each of you contributed to this paper as a group. Excellent team work!

I like the first evaluator’s idea of using blog to share the ideas and the things in community, and the second evaluator’s question about how to engage the community stakeholders. I like all the suggestions from the third evaluator! It is a good idea to allot time for consensus and community building and discussing community issues, recommended by the forth evaluator.
